"Somewhere, somewhere in time's own space,
there must be some sweet pastured place,
where creeks sing on and tall trees go,
some paradise where horses go.
For by the love that guides my pen,
I know great horses live again." (Stanley Harrison)
Wolf Creek Equestrian Centre started out in 1990 as Sunbridge Farm, the dream of owner Colleen Campbell. Colleen singlehandedly built the business from the ground up, and developed a reputation in the area of being an excellent trainer for small children. In March of 2006, a barn fire destroyed the main lesson barn and killed five horses. The fire quite literally broke Colleen's heart, and she passed away six months later, leaving a 40-acre horse farm and a thriving children's lesson program.
The farm was leased, and later purchased, by Colleen's best friend, Sandy Pintaric, in order to keep the lesson program going and Colleen's memory alive. Sandy and Barn Manager Cheryl Fossesca are continuing Colleen's tradition of excellence in lessons, training and boarding, and have added sales and breeding to the mix. The name Sunbridge Farm was retired, and Wolf Creek Equestrian Centre was born. The main lesson barn has been rebuilt, and a new outdoor jump arena added.
